My Spin

(Just my opinion. Give us yours!)

Stuart Hamblen's popular gospel tune "Known Only To Him" was a natural choice for Elvis' His Hand In Mine album. Like Hamblen's other gospel songs, this one has the structure and all the melodic and lyrical hooks of a pop song, with clever wordplay like "I know not what the future holds, but I know who holds the future". Elvis' crooning is, as usual, delicate and smooth.

I'll write a little more later, but meanwhile, check out the links and music.
