"Bringing It Back" was a minor country hit for Brenda Lee at the same time Elvis' Today album was on the charts. Although Elvis recorded it and released it first on the album, Brenda's single was released before Elvis' single. In any case, this isn't a blockbuster tune to begin with and Elvis doesn't elevate it much. Still, I like it as a nice laid-back country song. It's just that Elvis has done a lot better. The Oak Ridge Boys also had a hit with this one in the early 1980s.
