The title song to Elvis' 22nd flick, "Spinout" doesn't rise up to any higher standards than the film does. Goofy tune and campy lyrics might make you laugh, but probably for all the wrong reasons. The lyrics try to match up racing terms with romance, and the results are pretty predictable ("better watch those curves"... betcha didn't see THAT one comin'), although the music has a little more punch than some other soundtrack songs. Still, let's face it, this is pretty silly stuff! Wouldn't you rather listen to "Speedway" instead? |
