It's often compared unfavorably to the original Drifters version, even among Elvis fans, but to me Elvis' take on "Fools Fall In Love" stands on its own. It's a faster arrangement (closer to Carla Thomas' version), but Elvis really gets into it, and it's contagious!

Another surprising number is "Fools Fall In Love". This is fast, with hefty brass and big vocal backing, which Presley sings mezzo-voce.
