Elvis resurrected the tune "I Really Don't Want To Know" for his now-classic album, Elvis Country. He gives it a bluesy arrangement, and it works quite well. Elvis was still at the top of his game in 1970, and this little piece of evidence certainly supports that! I'll write more later, but meanwhile, check out the music and links! |
Other Spins(What did the critics and fans say?)"I Really Don't Want To Know" is another slow ballad, in waltz tempo. This is not as heavily arranged as some of the other songs. Robert Matthew-Walker, Elvis Presley: A Study in Music, 1979 Sad lyrics suit Elvis well, with country piano by David Briggs and blues guitar by James Burton blending nicely. Martin Torgoff, The Complete Elvis, 1982 Check out other Elvis fans' opinions on the Elvis News page for I Really Don't Want To Know Check out other opinions at Rate Your Music "I Really Don't Want To Know" Links

Oh how many arms have held you And hated to let you go How many, oh how many, I wonder But I really don't want, I don't wanna know Oh how many lips have kissed you And set, set your soul aglow, yes they did How many, oh how many, I wonder, yes I do But I really don't want to know So always make, make me wonder And always make, make me guess And even, you know even if I ask you Oh darling oh don't you, don't confess Just let it, let it remain your secret Oh for darling, darling I love you so No wonder, yeah no wonder, I wonder 'Cause I really don't want, I don't wanna know |
