My Spin

Nothing spectacular, but "Never Ending" has a pleasant, appealing melody. Elvis had certainly by this time perfected his crooning voice, and gives this one a boost up with his careful but assured delivery of both the tune and the lyrics.

The original version of this tune was apparently by Roger Dougglas, from 1962. Although Elvis recorded it the following year in '63, and released it as a single in '64, the song wasn't added to an album until '67, when it appeared as a "bonus song" on the Double Trouble soundtrack.
